Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial SEN experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting a reliable and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant to work across a range of primary and SEN schools in Islington.
This is a flexible, day-to-day supply role where you can choose when you work (1–5 days per week). As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, including those with additional needs.
This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in different school settings or seeking a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Supporting children with SEND, including behavioural and learning needs
• Helping maintain a positive and structured learning environment
• Adapting to different schools and classroom settings
Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
• SEND experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
• Right to work in the UK
