How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply Teaching Assistant – Islington – Flexible Work
    Location: Islington, London
    Start Date: 13/04/2026
    Contract: Part-time, Temporary
    Salary: £85–£100 per day
    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial SEN experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    About the Role

    Teach Now is recruiting a reliable and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant to work across a range of primary and SEN schools in Islington.

    This is a flexible, day-to-day supply role where you can choose when you work (1–5 days per week). As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, including those with additional needs.

    This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in different school settings or seeking a better work-life balance.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
    • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
    • Supporting children with SEND, including behavioural and learning needs

    Requirements
