How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position: Daily Supply Teaching Assistant
    Contract Type: Part-time Temporary Work
    Start Date: 13/04/2026
    Location: Barking & Dagenham, London, UK
    Salary: £85–£100 per day
    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial SEN experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a flexible and proactive Daily Supply Teaching Assistant to work across a range of welcoming primary and SEN schools in Barking & Dagenham.

    This Daily Supply Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of settings, from Reception through to Year 7. You will support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND, while working in schools rated Good and Outstanding by Ofsted.

    As a Daily Supply Teaching Assistant, you can choose short-term or longer placements, making this an ideal role for those seeking flexibility and variety in their work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2, and lower KS3

    Providing 1:1 and small group support, including SEND needs

    Assisting with classroom activities and interventions

    Supporting behaviour and engagement in lessons

    Adapting to different school environments as a Daily Supply Teaching Assistant

    Requirements:

    • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally with SEND
    • Ability to work flexibly across different schools and key stages
    • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
    • A positive, reliable, and adaptable approach
    • Right to work in the UK
