We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a leading OEM specialising in packaging machinery. The company manufactures and services equipment including VFFS, HFFS, flow wrap machines, multi-head weighers, and related systems.
Role Overview
This is an electrically biased role requiring a minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. You will work on industrial packaging machinery within the food industry, supporting installations, commissioning, and service activities across customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Working with servo drives and electrical control systems
Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
Working on three-phase machinery in industrial environments
Site visits primarily within the food industry
Wiring and rewiring machinery
PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Using digital voltage meters
Working with sensors, actuators, and inverters
Carrying out installation, commissioning, and service work
Requirements
Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
Experience working with industrial machinery
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently at customer sites
Willingness to stay away from home 2–3 nights per week on average
Package & Benefits
Basic Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
Overtime: £25 per hour
OTE: £70,000+
Working Hours: 45 hours per week
