The role involves welding and assembling pipework to a high standard, ensuring all work meets relevant codes, specifications, and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a workshop environment and be proficient in multiple welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pipe welding using processes such as Stick / ARC
Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric diagrams, and weld procedures
Prepare, align, and fit pipe sections prior to welding
Ensure all welds meet quality standards and pass visual and/or NDT inspection
Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Carry out repairs and rework where necessary
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulations
Work collaboratively with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to meet production deadlines
Skills Required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a pipe welder in a fabrication/workshop environment
Proficiency in Stick / ARCwelding (essential)
Ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys
Strong understanding of welding symbols and technical drawings
Experience working to industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, or equivalent)
Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications Required
Certifications (Preferred/Required):
Valid welding certifications (e.g., coded welder certification)
