How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently looking for an Academic Programmes Officer to join our lively and dedicated team at Keele University International College in Keele (Staffordshire, England).     Hours of Work: Part Time

    Salary: £12,175-£14,075 (FT equivalent: £24,350–£28,150 per year)

    The Academic Programmes Officer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our academic programmes, coordinating assessments, managing student records, and providing vital administrative support to academic staff and students alike. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of academic processes and enhancing the overall student experience, working closely with academic staff and the Director of Learning & Teaching to achieve excellence.

    Academic Programmes Officer Duties: The successful candidate will support timetabling, exams, and assessment coordination; maintain accurate student records and academic systems; assist with exam boards and results processing; provide administrative support to academic staff and tutors; support student academic success initiatives such as study support sessions; and respond to student queries regarding academic processes.

    Academic Programmes Officer Requirements:

    Experience in higher education administration or a similar environment
    Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
    Experience with timetabling, scheduling, or academic processes (desirable)
    Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with students and staff
