Axon Moore are pleased to be partnering a high-growth business in Wigan as they look to recruit and experience and ambitious Management Accountant capable hitting the ground running in a fast-paced role taking ownership for fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the team, as well as the production of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, VAT returns and the direct line management of two assistants.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Produce monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Produce and posting journals
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
Variance analysis and reporting on key financial metrics
Assist with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting duties
Quarterly VAT returns
Training, mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
Provide insightful financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making
Contribute to continuous improvement and change initiatives across the business
Other ad-hoc duties and project work
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong management accounts experience (ideally 3+ years)
Good IT and MS Excel skills (VLookups, Pivots as a minimum)
Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE
Good attention to detail and analytical skills
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Able to work collaboratively and independently
