How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Inclusive Learning Practitioner – Trauma-Informed Specialist

    Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk

    Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm

    Salary: £14.40 - £16/hr dependent on experience

    Are you passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma or barriers to learning? We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Inclusive Learning Practitioner to join a dedicated and nurturing educational setting in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 5 to 16 who have experienced emotional distress or disrupted education. As an Inclusive Learning Practitioner, you will help learners rebuild confidence, develop trust, and re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide one-to-one and small group support for learners with trauma backgrounds or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

    Use trauma-informed approaches to build trust and promote emotional regulation.

    Support classroom learning by adapting materials and strategies to individual needs.

    Encourage positive behaviour and resilience through consistent, nurturing support.

    Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic care for each student.

    Requirements

    Experience supporting children or young people affected by trauma, SEMH, or additional learning needs.

    Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and behaviour support strategies.

    A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to learning support.

    Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

    A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential.
