How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support Worker - Female
    £14.01ph
    Full-time - 37.5hrs / Part-time - 30hrs / days + sleep in
    Latchford, Warrington
    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential, your mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile!
    Working at Dimensions means becoming part of one of the UK’s most respected not-for-profit organisations in adult social care. Here, you’ll join a warm, values-led team that genuinely cares—about the people we support and about each other.
    Whether you’re starting your career in care or looking for your next step, you’ll find a place where you can grow. We offer fantastic training, development opportunities, and a clear path for progression, so you can build a future you’re proud of.
    About the Home
    We’re currently looking for Female Support Workers to join our dedicated team in a modern supported living home, where 13 wonderful individuals—aged from their late 20s to late 70s—live full, meaningful lives.
    It’s a truly lovely place to work: warm, welcoming, and always filled with things to do. From seasonal celebrations to fun-filled activities, there’s always something happening— and yes, we even host our own discos and parties!
    What Life Looks Like Here
    This is a home where relationships truly matter. With your support, the people who live here enjoy a rich and varied life, including:
    * Medical appointments
    * Friendship groups
    * Discos and parties
    * Work placements
    * Cinema trips
    * Food and clothes shopping
    * Theatre visits
    * Day trips — including favourites like Blackpool!
    Many people here are quite independent — some even access the community on their own. Personal care needs are minimal, mostly gentle prompts and reassurance rather than full support.
    You’ll also provide day-to-day support around the home, including:
    * Light domestic tasks
    * Medication support
    * Meal preparation and encouraging healthy choices
    These practical tasks help people stay independent and feel confident in their own home.
    Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, "gender" refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
    Shift Pattern
    10:45am – 11pm, followed by a sleep-in, then 8am – 11am
    Other shifts run between 9am – 9pm, with flexibility to work full or part days
    Availability to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) is expected to maintain continuity of care
    We’d love to welcome you into our team.
    Why choose Dimensions
    * A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
    * Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
    * 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
    * Opportunities for career progression
    * Supported ‘Learn to Drive’ scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)
    * We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
    * High Street Discounts – Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
    * Life Assurance and Company Pension
    * Industry leading training
    * Enhanced DBS paid for by us
    Other important information:
    Applications are reviewed upon receipt and interviews will take place until the positions are filled
    An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by Dimensions.
    We welcome applications from everyone with the right to work in the UK and value diversity in our workforce
    As disability confident leaders, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy
    As part of our commitment to making reasonable adjustments we can offer support to complete your application. Please contact the Resourcing Consultant Team on (phone number removed) if you require adjustments
    British Sign Language (BSL) translated videos are available for all of our recruitment communications
