How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our specialist SEND school is dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEND Teacher to join our team and contribute to our mission of offering an inclusive and tailored learning environment for every child.

    As a SEND Teacher at our school, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with PMLD and ASC. You will work closely with the SENDCo, teaching assistants, and other specialists to develop and implement personalised education plans (PEPs) to ensure every student’s needs are met.

    You will provide a structured yet flexible learning environment, using creative teaching methods to engage students and help them progress both academically and socially. Your role will be integral in providing a holistic approach to education, focusing not only on academic learning but also on communication, social interaction, life skills, and emotional development.

    Ideal Candidate:

    *

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

    *

    Experience teaching students with PMLD, ASC, or other complex learning needs.

    *

    Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

    *

    Understanding of communication strategies (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and other interventions for students with ASC.

    *

    A person-centred approach with the ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs.

    *

    Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    *

    Compassionate, patient, and resilient, with a commitment to making a positive difference in students' lives.
