How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Looking to make a real difference in people’s lives? As an Assistant Debt Advisor at Amplius, you’ll support customers in managing debt, boosting income, and building long-term financial stability. Working alongside experienced Debt Advisors, you’ll provide tailored advice on less complex cases while learning to assist with more challenging ones - all delivered with empathy, professionalism, and full regulatory compliance.

In return, this role offers the opportunity to develop your skills, gain professional accreditation in regulated debt advice, and make a tangible impact on customers’ financial wellbeing and tenancy sustainment.

The role involves regular travel across the central region, primarily covering areas from Rushden up to Birmingham. For this reason, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

    Snapshot of your role

    *

Provide tailored debt advice to customers, assessing their financial situation, liability, and future goals while ensuring fairness and compliance with standards.

    *

Prepare and explain debt solutions, including insolvency and Breathing Space schemes, ensuring customers understand implications.

    *

Offer guidance on income maximisation, budgeting, money management, and debt prioritisation.

    *

Manage a small caseload, liaising with creditors, external agencies, and internal colleagues to implement agreed solutions.

    *

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and deliver advice in writing to meet regulatory requirements.

    *

Build trusting, non-judgemental relationships, identifying wider needs and signposting to additional support services.

    *

Collaborate with colleagues, participate in training, and develop professional knowledge towards full debt advice accreditation.

    What you’ll need to thrive

    *

Experience supporting customers in financial difficulty and providing advice on debt, budgeting and financial wellbeing, helping them achieve positive outcomes.

    *

Ability to manage casework, keep accurate records and follow procedures with attention to detail.

    *

Understanding of debt advice principles, income maximisation and budgeting, with awareness of debt solutions such as DMPs, DROs, IVAs and bankruptcy.

    *

Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, safeguarding and the Breathing Space scheme.

    *

Strong communication, listening, negotiation and advocacy skills, able to explain complex information clearly.

    *

Organised and dependable, able to work independently or as part of a team and manage time effectively under pressure.

    *

Compassionate and non-judgemental, emotionally resilient and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

DBS clearance is required for this role.
