How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced Sales Executive?

At SUEZ, we act for what truly matters — for the environment, for society, and for the future. This is the place for people who want to make a real impact, not just watch from the sidelines. Join us and help drive positive change through innovative solutions that build a more resilient and sustainable world.

    About the role

Here at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, we are looking for a Field Sales Executive based in Barking

    * We offer a salary of £36,600 basic + Company Car + expected £9,000 OTE commission (but this is uncapped) + Benefits

    * This role will be working a 37.5 hour week, but we are very flexible with regards to start and finish times to fit in with your schedule.

At SUEZ, your career is a journey full of possibilities. With diverse roles across multiple activities and locations, we empower you to shape your own path. Here, you’re encouraged to learn, grow, and take ownership of your development — because when you thrive, we all succeed.

    What will I be doing?

    * As part of our dedicated Regional Field Sales Team, you’ll play a key role in securing new business for SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your sales expertise in a purpose‑driven environment, helping organisations transition towards more sustainable waste solutions.

    * You’ll spend much of your time in the field, building strong relationships with prospective customers and promoting our Total Waste Solution — a service designed to meet each client’s needs while supporting recycling, recovery, and non‑landfill alternatives. Your work will directly contribute to our sustainability goals and business growth.

    * You will operate within a defined geographic area, collaborating closely with colleagues across the business to achieve shared targets. Clear, confident communication will be essential, both when engaging with internal teams and when speaking with customers about our recycling ethos and the future of resource management.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Proactively and reactively securing profitable new business within your territory to meet agreed sales and revenue targets.

    * Building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and presenting tailored waste and recycling solutions.

    * Reporting leads, calls, quotes, and contract activity accurately through the Company Operating System.

    * Creating sales plans, delivering client presentations, negotiating confidently at all levels, and supporting the wider sales team.

    * Promoting sustainable waste management and helping customers understand the benefits of non‑landfill options.

    What are the requirements?

We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and career stages. Whether you’re an experienced salesperson or someone looking to grow in a sustainability‑focused sector, we’d love to hear from you — even if you do not meet every requirement

    You will bring:

    * A proven track record in sales, with the drive to achieve and exceed targets.

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients at all levels.

    * IT literacy and confidence using digital systems to manage leads and reporting.

    * The ability to create clear sales plans, present persuasively, and negotiate effectively.

    * A positive, collaborative mindset, thriving as part of a supportive field sales team.

    * Experience in the waste or recycling industry is highly desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

    Our commitment to inclusion

We aim to create an inclusive, supportive workplace for everyone — across all generations, backgrounds, and identities. If you require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process or in your day‑to‑day role, please let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Who we are

At SUEZ, respect is at the heart of everything we do — for each other, for our customers, and for the communities we serve. We foster inclusive, caring environments where diversity, wellbeing, safety, and solidarity are more than values — they’re everyday realities.

These principles shape how we work together, every day. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply.

Your unique experience, perspective, and potential could be exactly what we’re looking for. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and growth — including competitive pay, pension plans, health and wellbeing programs, learning opportunities, and career development.

Everything you need to thrive, both professionally and personally. Join us in transforming today’s environmental challenges into tomorrow’s innovative water and waste solutions.

At SUEZ, your work truly matters — driving action and shaping a more resilient, sustainable future.
