Groundworks Working Supervisor – Immediate Start

Location: Newcastle
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Working Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced project in Newcastle. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident leading a team while actively contributing on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of groundworkers on a daily basis

*

Carry out hands-on groundworks duties as required

*

Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard

*

Coordinate tasks and manage site labour effectively

*

Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks

*

Maintain health & safety compliance across site

*

Report progress and liaise with Site Management

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in groundworks, with supervisory experience preferred

*

SSSTS or SMSTS certification

*

Valid CSCS card

*

First Aid (preferred but not essential)

*

Strong understanding of groundworks processes (drainage, foundations, kerbing, etc.)

*

Ability to read drawings and plans

*

Good communication and leadership skills
