How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a well-established and reputable contractor, is seeking an experienced Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) & MVHR Engineer to join their growing team.

    This role involves carrying out servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs across a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial properties, including social housing, private residential, and commercial sites.

    This is a mobile position, working across occupied and void properties, as well as plant rooms and roof-mounted systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

    * Service, maintain, and fault-find on domestic and commercial ASHP systems

    * Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and refrigerant-related faults

    * Monitor and assess system performance, including flow rates and temperature differentials

    * Work on associated components such as buffers, low loss headers, pump sets, and plate heat exchangers

    * Provide detailed reports with findings and recommended remedial actions

    MVHR & Ventilation Systems

    * Service and inspect MVHR and ventilation systems

    * Replace filters and complete routine maintenance tasks

    * Inspect fans, controls, and condensate drainage systems

    * Diagnose airflow and system performance issues

    Requirements

    * NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)

    * F-Gas Category 1 certification

    * G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification

    * Recognised Heat Pump training

    * Strong electrical fault-finding capability

    * Proven experience with wet heating systems

    * Full UK driving licence
