This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an industry leading engineering firm in the Motorsport, Automotive and Aerospace sector, our client is seeking an individual with an interest in developing skills in production and engineering.
As a CNC Turner, the purpose of the role is to programme, set and run numerous CNC machines in a precision Engineering environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Programming/setting/operating on a lathe using Fanuc and fusion 360.
* Assessing engineering drawings to establish a strategy for creating a machined part.
* Implementing the strategy with the most efficient use of time and resources, available tooling and whether new tooling is required.
* Assessing and agreeing lead times with the Machine shop supervisor.
* Ensuring quality targets are always met.
* Liaise with Quality Engineer so that all parties are aware of tolerance limits and how these are to be attained and measured.
* Maintain machine maintenance schedules.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* What You’ll Bring: Ability to program using Fanuc and fusion 360.
* A proven track record in operating CNC Lathe. Ability to work individually and as part of a team Backed up by qualifications in these disciplines.
* Additional skills in these areas would be a key advantage to role: Hypermill experience, 3 and 5 axis milling, experience on Hurco Mills A positive, solutions-focused mindset.
