How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Responsibilities:

    * Develop, implement and maintain formal documentation, including:
    * SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
    * RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
    * Quality/compliance records and operational controls suitable for regulated environments
    * Carry out regular inspections to identify recurring issues, unusual requirements, or non-conformances
    * Coordinate multiple teams across separate work areas, ensuring consistent standards and performance
    * Work collaboratively with the client and on-site workstream leads to deliver the agreed strategy
    * Deliver resourcing, recruitment, onboarding and training plans to build a capable, compliant team
    * Produce data-led reporting (KPIs, compliance, performance, resource and productivity metrics)
    * Authorise and approve planned procurement of consumables and equipment
    * Ensure robust HSE compliance, including incident readiness, investigation, and reporting
    * Lead safety culture initiatives including safety stand-downs where appropriate
    * People leadership: performance reviews, absence management, HR/IR awareness and disciplinary processes (where required)
    * Ensure direct reports understand responsibilities and consistently deliver to the required standard
    Essential:
    * Proven leadership experience in regulated / high-compliance environments with controlled cleanliness standards
    * Ability to lead with integrity, inclusivity, accountability and continuous improvement
    * Strong organisational capability and confidence producing formal documentation and plans
    * Comfortable managing fast-moving operations with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
    * Excellent written, verbal and IT skills
    * Valid passport
    * CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test (Manager & Professional level)
    Desirable:
    -Experience in nuclear or comparable high-control sectors (e.g., pharma/biotech, medical devices, sterile manufacturing, laboratories)
    -Working knowledge of COSHH
    -NEBOSH (or equivalent)
    -SMSTS (or similar construction qualification)
    -Driving licence
    -Higher education certificate / degree
    Site & Vetting Requirements

    - Able to obtain the required HPC site access pass
    - Site-based role on a 9-day fortnight rota (subject to change)
