    Job description

    Teaching Assistant

    Location: North West London
    Start Date: April 2026 (Summer Term)
    Contract: Day-to-day, Full-Time, Part-Time & Long-Term positions available
    Pay: £92–£100 per day (depending on experience)

    We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across Secondary Schools in North West London throughout the Summer Term. There are a range of opportunities available, including day‑to‑day, full‑time, and long‑term positions. These roles offer a fantastic chance to support pupils across KS3 and KS4, helping them stay engaged in their learning and achieve their full potential.

    The Teaching Assistant Role:

    * Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 with their learning, participation, and engagement in lessons.

    * Helping students stay focused, follow classroom routines, and remain positively involved in activities.

    * Providing support during lessons as well as during additional small‑group or catch‑up sessions when needed.

    * Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and readiness to learn.

    * Working alongside classroom teachers and wider school staff to help deliver effective learning support.

    * Contributing to a calm, organised, and supportive classroom environment where pupils feel comfortable and able to succeed.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Experience working with young people in schools or other relevant settings such as youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or community programmes.

    * Calm, patient, and consistent when supporting pupils and helping to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.

    * Strong understanding of the importance of routine, structure, clear boundaries, and emotional support within a school environment.

    * Able to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff across a secondary school setting.

    * Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to respond to different pupil needs and changing classroom situations.

    * Passionate about helping young people stay engaged in learning and develop confidence both academically and personally.
