We are looking for an experienced structural engineer with building structures experience for an award-winning practice to work in their Cardiff office. This engineering consultancy typically punches well above its weight with the kind of projects it brings in and has expanded its operation significantly.
Projects come from various sectors and range up to £100m, they include:
Local schools
Hospitals
Healthcare facilities
Local authorities
As a senior technician, you will have the following responsibilities:
Producing detailed structural calculations
Liaising with clients, contractors and Architects
Building relationships with clients and handling queries
Attending design team meetings
Attending site visits
Mentoring and assisting in the development of Graduate Engineers
A key factor for this role is someone who enjoys interactions with other staff and industry peers. Building and maintaining relationships is a key part of the company ethos.

Essential criteria for this role:
Degree educated, BEng/BSc minimum
Chartered with ICE or IStructE, preferred but not essential
Design experience across the sectors listed above
Knowledge of Eurocodes
Knowledge of BIM
Working experience with all traditional materials
