How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Title: Electrician (Repairs)
    Location: Field-based across North East England
    Hours: 40 per week
    Salary: £38,000 per annum
    Contract: Permanent

    Are you a Qualified Electrician with a passion for quality workmanship and safety? Join Anchor Repairs & Property Services (ARPS) and help us deliver outstanding electrical services across a portfolio of upto 5,000 locations.

    As part of our dedicated team, you'll carry out installations, inspections, and testing to ensure our homes remain safe, compliant, and in excellent condition. This is a site-based role, requiring travel within the Northeast —so flexibility and a full UK driving license are essential.

    What you’ll be doing:

    * Electrical installations, inspections, testing, and repairs

    * Diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions

    * Ensuring all work complies with the latest electrical safety legislation

    * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and being fully conversant with the current NICEIC 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    * Working independently or as part of a team to complete jobs to high standards

    * Maintaining and caring for company tools and equipment

    * Completing site documentation accurately and on time

    * Following all SHEQ and PPE guidelines to work safely

    What we’re looking for:

    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

    * City & Guilds 2391 or EAL Inspection & Testing qualification

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

    * JIB Gold Card

    * Proven experience in electrical repairs and maintenance, ideally in housing or care environments

    * A full, valid UK driving license

    * Strong communication, attention to detail, and a professional approach
