Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a company that enables brands to gather, analyse, and act on customer feedback at scale. You’ll build scalable APIs, integrate AI and third-party tools, and help shape the platform’s architecture. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly impact how global brands understand and engage with their customers. The role is primarily remote, but candidates must be UK-based and able to attend the Midland office occasionally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Build and maintain backend APIs for new platform products and features
Design standalone systems with clean separation from legacy infrastructure
Integrate third-party services, AI/LLM tools, video infrastructure, and analytics platforms
Support AI-powered features including LLM-based data processing and automated workflows
Collaborate directly with product and UX teams, including attending user interviews to understand real customer needs
Make architecture and technical decisions, taking ownership of the solutions you build Requirements:
Significant experience in backend API development (REST / JSON-RPC)
Strong database design and architecture knowledge (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Experience integrating third-party services, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), or other APIs
Comfortable collaborating with product and UX teams to deliver features end-to-end
Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and work in a fast-paced environment Beneficial / Nice-to-Have Skills:
Exposure to AI / LLM integrations or AI-powered features
Familiarity with modern agentic engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot)
Experience with video platforms or analytics systems Benefits:
