Primary Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 3/4 Teacher to join a warm and supportive primary school in Blackburn. This full-time position is due to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year. The school is known for its inclusive values, positive learning environment, and strong commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

* Teach and inspire a mixed Year 3/4 class with engaging, well-structured lessons

* Plan, deliver, and assess learning in line with the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum

* Create a supportive, stimulating, and well-managed classroom environment

* Promote pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and personal development

* Work collaboratively with staff to maintain consistent routines and uphold the school’s ethos

Pre-requisites

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Proven experience of teaching within KS2, ideally with mixed-age classes

* Strong knowledge of the Year 3/4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies

* Two education or school-based references

* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

* A positive, committed approach to supporting pupils of all abilities
