How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Now Hiring: QA/QC Inspector – Solar Farm (Outside IR35) - 7-8 Month Contract
    Ceto Talent are supporting a renewable energy project in the UK, looking for an experienced QA/QC Inspector to join a 50MW solar farm project near Exeter, Devon.
    This is a full project lifecycle role, offering long-term stability on a key solar development.
    * Location: Near Exeter, Devon (site-based)
    * Start: June
    * Duration: 12 months
    * Hours: 40 per week
    * Rate: £400-£500 per day (negotiable)
    * IR35: Outside IR35
    Key Responsibilities:
    Inspection & Monitoring:
    * Conduct daily inspections of solar panel installations, mounting structures, cabling, and electrical systems.
    * Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    * Verify that materials and equipment delivered to the site meet project requirements.
    Documentation & Reporting:
    * Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality records.
    * Ensure proper documentation of test results, calibration certificates, and inspection checklists.
    * Assist in the preparation of final quality dossiers and handover documentation.
    * Preparation of ITPs and its implementation.
    Testing & Verification:
    * Witness, verify & record electrical and mechanical testing (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, perform torque checks).
    * Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and ensure compliance with testing protocols.
    * Compliance & Standards:
    * Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IEC standards, and local regulatory requirements.
    * Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
    Coordination & Communication:
    * Liaise with construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
    * Participate in quality meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of quality and safety.
    Qualifications & Skills
    * Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
    * Proven years of QA/QC experience in solar or renewable energy projects.
    * Familiarity with solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and related components.
    * Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, IEC, NEC) and inspection techniques.
    * Proficient in MS Office and quality management software( training will be provided for Plan Radar).
    * Level 3(2382-22) & Level 3( 2391-52) will be advantage.
    Essential:
    * Ability to work full-time on-site during the full contract period
    * Right to work in the UK without sponsorship/visa
