How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Admissions Manager

    Location: Burgess Hill - Car driver required
    Contract: Full-time but Term Time Only
    Salary: £32 - £35k Temp to Perm
    Start Date: ASAP

    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled and proactive Admissions Manager to lead pupil admissions, transitions and movement, and to oversee the effective management of our clients school's MIS platforms. This is a key operational and strategic role that ensures admissions processes and data systems are accurate, compliant, secure and used effectively to support school improvement and leadership decision‑making.

    The role involves close collaboration with the Local Authority, school leaders, pastoral teams and other support colleagues to deliver high-quality admissions processes, strong data governance and robust information management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Admissions, Pupil Movement & Compliance

    Lead and manage pupil admissions, referrals, transitions and exits for the school.
    Ensure all admissions and pupil movement processes comply with statutory requirements, Local Authority protocols and safeguarding expectations.
    Work collaboratively with the Local Authority and mainstream schools to coordinate pupil movement and maintain accurate records.
    Maintain clear, compliant documentation and reporting relating to admissions and transitions.MIS Management & Data Operations

    Oversee the operation, development and accuracy of the school's MIS and related data systems.
    Ensure data is accurate, timely, secure and aligned with statutory and internal reporting requirements.
    Support leadership with accurate data reports, analysis and insights to inform decision-making.
    Manage statutory data returns and ensure all systems support school improvement priorities.Systems Support, Training & Guidance

    Serve as the central point of contact for MIS support, troubleshooting and advice.
    Provide system training, guidance and user support for staff across leadership, pastoral and administrative teams.
    Promote consistent, confident and effective use of MIS and digital tools across the school.Leadership Support & Peer Supervision

    Offer peer supervision, mentorship and expert guidance to colleagues involved in data processes, admissions and reporting.
    Support leaders with dashboards, tracking, evidence-gathering and data workflows.
    Contribute to the development of policies, workflows and best practice to enhance data consistency and compliance.About You:

    We are looking for someone who:

    Has strong experience in school admissions, MIS management or data systems administration.
    Understands statutory requirements and local protocols relating to admissions and pupil movement.
    Works with exceptional accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism.
    Communicates clearly and can deliver training and guidance with confidence.
    Is technically capable, analytical and able to find solutions to complex data or system issues.
    Can build excellent working relationships across the organisation.
