We’re seeking a committed Cover Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Oldbury on a permanent basis.
Position: Cover Teacher
Location: Oldbury
Pay: £100 per day
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects to secondary students. You’ll ensure classes run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-set lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
Maintain classroom control and a positive learning atmosphere
Support students with their learning and behaviour
Follow school policies and procedures
Provide feedback to teaching staff after cover lessons
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Confidence teaching across a range of subjects
Suitable for Cover Supervisors or experienced Teaching Assistants ready to step up
