How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Early Years Primary Teacher - Stafford / Stone / Cannock

    Academics are currently recruiting for a fabulous Early Years Primary Teacher to support our partner primary schools located in the South Staffordshire regions. As an Early Years Primary Teacher, you play a vital role in supporting and setting up students for their primary school journey; the foundations are built for students during the Early Years and as a teacher it is your responsibility to ensure that children get the very best start! Whether it is a long - term or short - term contract or day - to - day supply that you're looking for, Academics focus your job search around you. The opportunities can also be a mixture of part time and full time roles which can be a great way to be flexible with the days in which you work.

    Your role as an Early Years Primary Teacher:

    Manage behaviour quickly and effectively in order to maintain and foster the best learning environment.
    Build strong relationships with; staff, parents and most importantly pupils.
    Marking work at the end of each day in order to assess and monitor progress; particularly in the Early Years assessing play and learning on a day-to-day basis is vital in ensuring progress is closely monitored.
    Planning may be expected when on a long term placements - the pay will reflect this added responsibility too.
    Enthusiasm to make a difference and support each child.
    A pro-active 'can - do' attitude.
    Confidence in supporting different learning needs within the class, ensuring every child is pushed to their full potential.
