How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About our Client:
This is a power management company doing business in more than 175 countries. Their energy-efficient products and services help their customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power more reliably, efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

What is the purpose of the Foundry Finisher?
As a Foundry Finisher, you will be accountable for preparing castings for the heat treatment process and the final blast of components before their release into stock. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure our products meet the highest standards.

What are the responsibilities of the Foundry Finisher?

Precision Finishing: You will expertly knock out moulds to remove shells post the casting operation and perform water blasting of moulds to remove shell material, enabling the band saw operations to commence smoothly.
Skilled Cutting: Utilising a semi-automatic band saw, you will skilfully cut off castings and use a manual band saw to trim up casting gates, ensuring precise results.
Quality Assurance: After band saw operations are completed, you will meticulously remove residual shell material and finish casting gates flush, providing a seamless finish.
Rework Expertise: You will be responsible for the rework of castings, skilfully removing surplus shell and metal materials to meet exact specifications.
Uniform Matt Finish: Performing dry blasting of components, you will ensure a uniform matt finish, adding the perfect touch to the final product.
Team Collaboration: In line with our strong commitment to safety, you will follow strict health and safety guidelines, identifying and mitigating hazards to create a secure work environment. Working closely with your team members, you will uphold good team ethics and cooperation.
What are the qualifications and experience required for the Foundry Finisher?

Attention to Detail: Your keen eye for detail ensures that every component meets the highest quality standards.
Adaptability: You thrive in varying conditions and are open to assisting in different areas as required.
Compliance: Understanding written instructions and adhering to company processes and procedures come naturally to you.
Dexterity: Your nimble hands and precision make you adept at handling delicate components.
    What you get in return:

Hourly paid a week in arrears
    Early finish on Fridays
