How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Company
An innovative company, established in 2021, is dedicated to commercialising next-generation electric motor technology and intellectual property for the emerging electrification aerospace market.

Their technology leads the way in delivering hybrid and all-electric propulsion solutions across Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and General Aviation (GA).

Operating from a state-of-the-art 39,000 sq ft facility in Oxfordshire, the company's ultra-high-performance, low-weight axial-flux motors and power electronics are smaller, lighter, and more robust than competing technologies. The site includes advanced engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and full-scale manufacturing capability.

    The Opportunity
*We're looking for an experienced Metrology Engineer to join the team on a 6-month contract.
*This role has been created due to increased project workload and the need to further strengthen data robustness and metrology capability. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure precise measurement processes and calibration standards are consistently achieved.
*This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electric propulsion development within a fast-moving, innovative engineering environment.

    Key Responsibilities
*Work closely with the Design Team, providing measurement insights and feedback into design reviews.
*Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to validate data accuracy and reliability.
*Support and assist with calibration activities, ensuring measurement consistency.
*Deliver operational metrology tasks that improve measurement maturity and drive cost reduction.
*Collaborate across teams to enhance data quality and process integrity.

    Essential Skills & Experience
*Proven ability to work effectively with design and engineering teams.
*Strong analytical mindset - able to ask the right questions and clearly articulate reasoning.
*Hands-on experience with MSAs, calibration, and CMM equipment.
*Confident in working with and interpreting measurement data.

    Working Environment
    *Minimum 80% onsite presence.
*37.5-hour working week (core hours 9:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday / Early finish on Friday)
*Flexible, collaborative team culture focused on technical excellence and innovation.
