Multi-Skilled Shift Technician
Position Overview
* The role provides critical technical support across all building systems and facilities.
* The core objective is to ensure seamless building operations and an exceptional workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric.
* Respond promptly to building management system (BMS) alarms, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Monitor and optimize the performance of critical building systems (lighting, heating, ventilation, power).
* Coordinate with specialist contractors for complex or statutory maintenance.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
* Provide excellent customer service when responding to facilities requests from building occupiers.
* Work a rotating shift pattern that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends, and participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Recognized trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or building services engineering.
* Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience in a commercial office environment.
* Strong understanding of BMS, HVAC operations, and electrical/mechanical plant.
* City & Guilds or equivalent certification, with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalent mechanical certifications desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
* Flexible attitude toward working hours and ability to work independently.
