How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Tutor to support children in the Tunbridge Wells area with Maths and English tutoring. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN Tutor who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs.

    The Role - SEN Tutor

    As a SEN Tutor, you will provide 1:1 support in Maths and English, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs. The ideal SEN Tutor will be patient, creative, and confident working with children with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH needs.

    SEN Tutor Responsibilities:

    Deliver engaging Maths and English sessions
    Plan personalised lessons as a professional SEN Tutor
    Support children with a range of Special Educational Needs
    Build confidence and independence in learning
    Work closely with parents/carers and schools where required
    Track progress and adapt teaching methods as a skilled SEN Tutor

    Requirements for the SEN Tutor:

    Experience working as a SEN Tutor, teacher, or teaching assistant
    Strong knowledge of Maths and English
    Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
    Patient, reliable, and caring personality
    Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain)
    Driving licence (preferred)
