How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Produce and review Pre-Construction Information, Design Risk Registers, Construction Phase Plans and Health & Safety Files
Provide clear guidance to clients, designers and contractors on their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015
Support clients in navigating Building Regulations compliance, advising on regulatory submissions, gateway processes and the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022
Act as Principal Designer under both CDM and, where applicable, Building Regulations frameworks
Chair Design Team Meetings to ensure design risks and compliance considerations are captured and managed effectively
Review RAMS and develop Risk Assessments tailored to client requirements
Carry out site safety visits and produce detailed reports, including corrective action trackers
Prepare clear, client-facing project reports and compliance documentation
Attend site and project meetings, representing the consultancy professionally
Develop your consultancy expertise in line with evolving regulation and client needs

    What We're Looking For

CMaPS qualified or actively working towards this accreditation; APS membership strongly preferred
    IOSH membership desirable
Sound knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015 and demonstrable experience acting as Principal Designer and/or CDM Advisor
Good understanding of the Building Regulations process, including knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and gateway regime
Experience of working across multiple sectors and project types
Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify client needs and deliver practical, tailored solutions
Capable of communicating regulatory requirements clearly to stakeholders at all levels
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a confident and professional approach
Logical, practically minded, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    Full UK driving licence

    What's on Offer

Competitive, negotiable salary based on experience
    Payment of professional membership fees
    Hybrid working arrangements
    Employer pension contribution of 8.68%
    Company phone and laptop
Clear and structured career progression within a growing practice
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (inclusive of Christmas shutdown)
An additional day off on your birthday
Annual staff day and a social fund supporting team activities throughout the year
    Cycle to work scheme
    Employee referral programme
If you have a strong background in CDM and Building Regulations compliance and are looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking consultancy with an excellent benefits package, we would be delighted to hear from you.
