How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer – Corporate Building
    Location: London Bridge
    Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)
    Salary: Up to £48K + Overtime & Benefits

    A respected Facilities Management provider is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to support operations at a large, high-profile corporate building. This is a modern, well-maintained site where engineering standards are taken seriously. The successful candidate will join a professional on-site team responsible for keeping building systems running smoothly, safely, and without disruption to daily business operations.

    This role offers a strong mix of electrical and mechanical exposure, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety and wants to broaden their skill set in a stable, corporate environment.

    Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and associated mechanical systems
    Maintain and fault-find on power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and control systems
    Support mechanical plant including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and basic plumbing tasks
    Respond to faults quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants
    Monitor plant performance and take a proactive approach to maintenance
    Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
    Maintain accurate records, including logbooks and compliance documentation
    Liaise with subcontractors and other service teams where requiredThe Ideal Candidate

    The organisation is looking for a reliable and adaptable engineer who is comfortable working across disciplines. The right candidate will take ownership of their work and contribute positively to the wider team.

    Essential:

    Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (NVQ / C&G Level 3 or equivalent)
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    Experience working within commercial or corporate environments
    Basic mechanical knowledge (HVAC, pumps, general building services)
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
    Good communication skills and a professional approachDesirable:

    Experience in a multi-skilled FM role
    Familiarity with BMS systems
