How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Workshop Controller

    Location: Stratford Upon Avon

    Job Type: Permanent

    Overview:

    Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join an established Plant Hire company focusing on the construction sector who are based in Stratford Upon Avon.

    You'll be the contact for all workshop-related activity – spotting faults early, coordinating repairs swiftly and keeping equipment up and running with minimal disruption.

    What do I need?

    * Proven experience in a service coordination or workshop support role, preferably within construction, automotive, equipment hire or a similarly fast-paced environment.

    * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and stay calm under pressure.

    * Confident and clear communicator, both on calls and via email.

    * Competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital maintenance or asset tracking tools.

    Responsibilities:

    * Take charge of allocating maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring they are fully equipped with the right tools, parts and information to deliver top-quality fixes on the first attempt.

    * Oversee the involvement of external engineers and service providers, including handling purchase orders and processing invoices.

    * Plan and schedule regular servicing and compliance inspections to minimise unplanned downtime and keep everything operating smoothly.

    * Collaborate closely with the equipment hire team to manage fleet availability and arrange backup machinery when required.

    * Investigate and process damage-related repairs, including identifying chargeable issues, sourcing replacement components, and issuing invoices accordingly.

    * Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs for repairs, servicing history, stock levels, and maintenance schedules
