How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary - £32,199 FTE

We are currently partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing continued transformation within its People Services function, and are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Services Advisor to support the delivery of a high-quality outsourced payroll service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys working collaboratively to improve payroll operations.

    The Role:

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and a third-party payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery, while acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries and escalations. This role combines hands-on payroll administration with process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support outsourced payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and service quality

Act as an escalation point for payroll-related queries, providing clear guidance

Complete payroll reconciliations, including statutory payments and third-party deductions

Monitor payroll submissions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Support pay cycles, pensions interfaces, and payroll-related projects

Maintain payroll documentation, processes, and training materials

    What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with payroll in a HR or client-facing environment (ideally within a large organisation)

Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving

Ability to interpret and explain payroll processes clearly to non-specialists

Confident using Excel and general MS Office tools

Proactive, organised, and able to manage workload independently

    Desirable:

    Payroll qualification (or working towards)

Experience with outsourced payroll models or HR/payroll systems

Exposure to payroll reconciliation and reporting processes

    Additional Info:

Part-time position (approx. 22.5 hours per week)

Hybrid working model with regular on-site presence required

Occasional flexibility needed during peak periods or system changes

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a tangible impact on payroll service delivery while working within a collaborative and evolving environment, we’d love to hear from you
