How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Position:        Lead Electrician
    Other names: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
    Type:             Permanent
    Salary:           Basic circa £46,000 Mon-Fri 40 hours
    Location: Stoke-on- Trent
    We are recruiting for a Lead Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to complete both hands-on maintenance and lead/supervisor electrical works. The role will involve the oversight of electricians and sub-contractors and a large scale facility in the Stoke-on-Trent area. Paying up to £46,000 Mon-Fri. Various working times available (8am-4pm, 7am-3pm, 6am-2pm). On call rota and on call payment.
     
    Electrician Description:
    ·        To lead on electrical works within the facility both in-house and sub-contractors
    ·        To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering on each facility
    ·        To lead on electrical projects and to assess all electrical plans and installations plus completed work
    ·        To ensure that all critical PPM’s are carried out on site and carry out reactive work at the request of the end user, ensuring that this is in line with SLA’s
    ·        To lead sub-contractors and ensure H&S, RAMS and H&S documentation are correct
    ·        To provide electrical guidance and advice to FM's and site management
    The will also involve hands-on duties on both maintenance and minor installations.
     
    Skills & Background Required:
    Recognised professional apprenticeship or equivalent Electrical training
    NVQ Level 3 Grade
    18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
    AM2
    ideally 2391 test and inspection
    Experience of lead and supervisory roles
    Must be presentable and reliable
    Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
