How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ensure strict compliance with HMRC regulations, statutory deadlines, and changes in tax law across all client filings.

Serve as a trusted client advisor, delivering clear, accurate, and proactive tax planning advice on personal finance, tax-efficient structuring and year-end strategies.

Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, recommending corrective actions and best practice solutions.

Partner with senior partners and cross-functional teams to drive business development, client acquisition, and service innovation.

Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.

Stay up to date with legislative changes, HMRC guidance, and industry trends to ensure team expertise remains current.

Develop and deliver training resources and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen team capabilities and performance.

Progressive experience in personal tax, ideally within a professional services firm or tax advisory practice.

Proven experience in team leadership, people management and talent development.

In-depth knowledge of UK personal tax legislation, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Property Tax.

Expertise in tax return preparation, compliance and advisory services for private clients.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and client engagement skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.

High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCalc, Thomson Reuters) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, meet tight deadlines and deliver consistent results.
