Search Consultancy is looking for a qualified Slinger / Signaller to join a major construction project in Hebburn. We are seeking a safety-focused individual with the expertise to coordinate complex lifting operations alongside our crane and plant operators.

Comprehensive Role Specification
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe attachment of loads and the clear signalling of lifting equipment. Key responsibilities include:

* Lifting Coordination: Selecting the correct lifting gear (slings, chains, shackles) based on the weight and centre of gravity of the load.
* Signalling: Providing clear and precise hand signals or radio communication to crane and plant operators to guide loads safely to their destination.
* Equipment Inspection: Conducting thorough daily checks on all lifting accessories to ensure they are fit for purpose and within their inspection dates.
* Load Security: Ensuring all loads are balanced, secure, and stable before any lifting operation commences.
* Hazard Identification: Constantly monitoring the lift path for obstructions, overhead power lines, or personnel, and halting operations if safety is compromised.
* Compliance: Working strictly in accordance with the site lifting plan and adhering to all LOLER and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.

Requirements

* Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller ticket.
* Safety Critical Medical (Must be valid and in-date).
* Full PPE (Hard Hat, High-Visibility Vest/Jacket, Steel Toe Boots).
* Proven experience working on large-scale construction sites with various lifting equipment.
* Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of site safety protocols.
