How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The brands dominating TikTok, YouTube and Instagram aren't lucky ,they've got people behind the camera who know exactly what they're doing. That could be you.

    Netcom Training is offering a fully funded, in-person Social Media Video Production Pro course, one of the only hands-on video production programmes of its kind in the West Midlands. This isn't an online course you'll forget about by week three. You'll be in a room with other creatives, on professional equipment, building skills that employers are actively hiring for right now.

    What You'll Learn

    Over 15 weeks, you'll train hands-on with the exact tools used in professional studios:

    * Adobe Premiere Pro editing, transitions, effects and graphics from beginner to confident

    * After Effects motion graphics and dynamic content creation

    * Cinematography - professional lighting setups, gimbal operation and tripod technique

    * Audio - adjusting levels and integrating professional sound into your edits

    * Marketing & Strategy - researching client bases, planning campaigns and managing production budgets

    * Final Assessment - shoot and edit your own video, leaving with a real portfolio piece

    Course Details

    * Location: West Midlands (in-person)

    * Duration: 16 weeks

    * Schedule: Wednesdays 5:30–9:30pm & Saturdays 2:00–3:30pm

    * Cost: Fully funded : no fees whatsoever

    * Qualification: Netcom Certificate of Completion (Level 3)

    Where This Can Take You

    Graduates are prepared for roles including:

    Videographer, Video Editor, Motion Graphics Designer, Content Creator, Digital Marketing Specialist

    Upon completion, your profile will be actively marketed to our hiring partner network and you'll receive dedicated career coaching support.

    You're Eligible If You:

    * Live in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area

    * Earn below £34,194 gross per year

    * Are aged 19 or over

    * Have basic IT skills

    * Are not currently enrolled in other government-funded training

    Why This Course Stands Out

    Most video courses are self-paced, online and easy to abandon. This programme is deliberately different — small groups, real equipment, real instructors, real deadlines. You'll leave with the confidence, the technical skills and a finished portfolio piece to show employers from day one.
