Pay:
* Class 1: £16.50 per hour
* Class 2: £16.00 per hour
* Night Out Allowance: £25
* Training Rate: £1 per hour less (covers HIAB licence if required)
The Role
We are recruiting experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HIAB Drivers to join a well‑established operation delivering steel and concrete products across the UK. This is a long‑term opportunity with a relaxed working environment and strong on‑site support.
Duties Include
* Deliveries of steel and concrete to building sites and residential/private properties (driveway or kerbside drops)
* Approximately 9 drops per day (multidrop)
* 40% HIAB crane operation, 60% long‑distance driving
* No manual unloading
* Temp‑to‑perm drivers receive their own assigned vehicle
* Fuel card provided; AdBlue available on site
* Parking costs covered when tramping
* Weekly pay (in arrears)
* Christmas period off
Shifts & Working Pattern
* Tramping work, including holiday cover
* Monday to Friday only – no weekends or bank holidays
* Flexible working hours
* Drivers receive weekly routes and manage their own time
Candidate Requirements
* Class 1 or Class 2 licence
* HIAB experience preferred (training provided if required)
* Minimum age 25+ (insurance requirement)
* Minimum 2 years’ driving experience
* Experience with:
* Flatbed vehicles
* Ratchet straps
* Comfortable with multidrop deliveries
* Reliable, safety‑focused, and confident working independently
Training & Support
* 1‑week on‑site training provided for all drivers
* Ensures all drivers are confident and road‑ready before working independently
* Insurance requires 25+ years old and 2+ years’ experience
