How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Practitioner to join their international payroll function, based out of Frankfurt, Germany. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across several European countries, with a primary focus on Germany, Austria, and France.

    Our client is a global banking organisation with a strong international presence across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia‑Pacific. They are recognised for their independent advisory approach and industry‑leading expertise in corporate finance, restructuring, and valuation.

    Description

    Manage monthly payroll cycles for employees in Germany, Austria, and France, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    Maintain Workday HRIS data integrity for hires, terminations, salary updates, and job changes.
    Process bonuses, deductions, non‑cash benefits, and holiday pay.
    Act as first‑line support for payroll queries via the internal ticketing system.
    Process public and private health insurance documentation and ensure correct coding and deductions.
    Collaborate with payroll providers, HR teams, and local experts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and CBAs.
    Prepare general ledger files, contribute to payroll account reconciliations, and ensure timely tax and pension submissions.
    Support system updates, configuration changes, and payroll platform migrations.
    Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentialityProfile

    Fluent in German and confident in English (written and verbal).
    3+ years of advanced experience in German OR French payroll.
    International Payroll preferred
    Strong understanding of EMEA tax and wage laws, including benefits‑in‑kind and shadow payroll.
    Skilled with Workday, DATEV, and Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
    Organised, analytical, and capable of handling a high‑volume, multi‑country payroll portfolio.Job Offer
