How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Marketing team as a Marketing & Communications Apprentice at our Fareham site.

    Safran Helicopter Engines are the world's leading manufacturer of rotorcraft turbines and the only one dedicated exclusively to this market. Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components. Our experienced teams partner with our broad, global customer base, providing both technical expertise and broader support in both the fixed wing and rotary wing markets.

    Your Role

    As a Marketing & Communications Apprentice at Safran Helicopter Engines UK, you will support the delivery of engaging and effective communication across the business. Working closely with HR, the CEO and the wider commercial and marketing teams, you will contribute to internal and external communications, event coordination, content creation and brand activity while developing your skills within a global aerospace organisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide engaging internal communications to the site.
    Support the CEO in delivering external communications.
    Coordinate events and create supporting marketing materials.
    Manage internal and external communications processes to ensure timely delivery.
    Create and update marketing materials with internal teams, agencies and Safran's wider marketing network.
    Support communication projects and social media campaigns.
    Maintain and update local website content.
    Produce newsletters, site screen content, leaflets and email updates.
    Plan company presence at trade shows, careers fairs and external events, ensuring brand aligned promotional materials.
    Coordinate annual sponsorship campaigns, including charity event attendance.
    Keep the intranet and noticeboards up to date with relevant communications.
    Support Health & Wellbeing initiatives and associated communications.
    Contribute to promoting Safran's Employer Value Proposition across the UK.
    Use multiple channels - including the Employee Advocacy Programme and personal LinkedIn - to boost employer brand visibility.
    Organise and support internal and external events from planning through delivery.
    Lead and coordinate company award applications.
    Act as the main point of contact for the Employer Recognition Scheme.

    What You'll Bring

    Essential:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    Strong organisational and time management skills.
    Desirable:

    English and Maths GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C).
    Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
