How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a Production Engineer who enjoys improving how things are made, not just maintaining the status quo?

We’re working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Production Engineer to support both current production and the introduction of new products.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in driving continuous improvement, increasing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output across the shop floor.

If you enjoy solving problems, streamlining processes, and making a real impact, this is one worth a look.

    The Role
Reporting into the Lean Engineering Manager, you’ll work across manufacturing and assembly operations, supporting production performance and leading improvement initiatives.
    You’ll be involved in:

Driving continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, throughput, and efficiency
Supporting production and resolving engineering issues on the shop floor
Reviewing new product designs to ensure they are fit for manufacture
Introducing and improving manufacturing processes and systems
Working closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams
Supporting new product introduction (NPI) activity
Producing clear documentation and operating procedures
Ensuring all work aligns with health & safety and quality standards What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with engineers who can bring both technical knowledge and a proactive mindset.

    You’ll ideally have:

HNC / HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
A strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (highly desirable)
Experience with quality tools such as DFMEA / PFMEA
Project experience delivering process or production improvements
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach Why Apply?

Opportunity to make a real impact on production performance
Varied role across both existing and new product ranges
    Supportive engineering and leadership team
    Growing business with ongoing investment
Genuine scope to develop and progress Interested? Apply today
