How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established, quality-driven consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and self-motivated Fire Risk Assessor to join their London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys technical autonomy, project variety, and contributing to safer built environments across sectors.

    Working within a multidisciplinary fire safety team, the Fire Risk Assessor will deliver Fire Risk Assessments on a wide mix of residential, commercial, educational, and public sector properties. This Fire Risk Assessor position also includes passive fire surveys, fire door inspections, and providing tailored advice to duty holders and managing agents in line with the latest UK legislation.

    With a strong culture of professional support and development, this is an ideal step for a Fire Risk Assessor seeking more complex work and future progression.

    The Fire Risk Assessor's Role

    Deliver Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of premises
    Undertake fire door inspections and assess passive fire protection systems
    Compile clear, risk-prioritised reports to support client compliance
    Provide practical fire safety advice across a range of property types
    Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and fire safety stakeholders
    Stay up to date with the Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022, and FSO 2005
    Operate mostly across Greater London (fully expensed travel and flexible diary management)The Fire Risk Assessor

    Minimum 2-3 years' experience delivering fire risk assessments
    Tier 2 registered with IFSM, IFE, or equivalent third-party body
    Comfortable working independently on high-risk and complex buildings
    Strong working knowledge of UK fire legislation and assessment methodology
    Excellent written communication and confident in client interactions
    Full UK driving licence (essential for regional travel)In Return?
