How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Ensure that Aviation Safety and Airworthiness principles are fully integrated into the Company's culture, processes and practices.

    -Manage the Quality Audit process

    -Manage SECUK's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that it is working effectively

    -Ensure that our QMS are fully compliant with all relevant standards and regulations.

    -Lead AS9100 audit.

    Key Responsibilities

    -Embed Aviation Safety and Airworthiness principles across company culture and processes.
    -Oversee and maintain the Quality Audit process.
    -Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) runs effectively and meets all standards.
    -Guarantee compliance with relevant regulations.
    -Lead AS9100 audits.

    Aviation Safety

    -Ensure teams understand aviation safety/airworthiness principles and regulations.
    -Manage compliance with the organisation's approved scope of work.
    -Act as the liaison with competent authorities on airworthiness and safety topics.
    -Deploy SECUK standards to strengthen design, production and maintenance maturity.
    -Analyse and report aviation safety performance and issues.

    Audits

    -Plan and manage the audit schedule aligned with AS9100.
    -Conduct on-site audits covering AS9100, aviation regulations and customer requirements.
    -Assess processes and products, providing clear feedback on compliance.
    -Track corrective actions and identify improvement opportunities.
    -Coordinate and support Internal Auditors.

    Quality Systems

    -Maintain and update QMS documentation for processes and standards.
    -Train teams on implementation and assess compliance.
    -Support process performance reviews with process owners.
    -Follow up on actions from certification, authority or customer audits.

    Quality System Management

    -Deploy QMS processes and standards across SECUK.
    -Assess QMS efficiency, identify risks and improvement opportunities (with SMS manager for safety).
    -Work with process owners to drive strategic process improvements.
    -Ensure QMS compliance with customer, civil and military aviation requirements.
    -Coordinate certification and approval activities with support from the Airworthiness Representative.

    What you'll need:

    -Certified AS9100 lead auditor
    -Experience in leading and supporting internal and external audits
    -Strong knowledge of AS9100 standard
    -Excellent skills in quality problem solving methods and techniques
    -Proficient with MS office tools: Excel, Word and power point.
