How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    What will you do?

    The CWA is seeking a Planner to support the delivery of the Main Civil Works (MCW) for Sizewell C — one of the UK’s most significant low‑carbon energy infrastructure projects.

    Working within one of the MCW delivery sections, the Planner will contribute to developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed project programmes for major reinforced concrete structures. This role will support the MCW Planning Lead and wider delivery teams to ensure construction sequencing, progress monitoring and programme integrity are aligned with project objectives

    What are we looking for?

    The ideal Planner will bring practical planning skills and a proactive approach to coordination, communication and programme development across multidisciplinary teams. Key accountabilities include:

    Contributing to the development, maintenance and updating of master and short‑term construction programmes

    Assisting in defining logical construction sequences and methodologies

    Supporting analysis of performance and advising delivery teams on programme impacts

    Defining resource requirements and coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders
    Liaising closely with site teams and supply chain partners to monitor progress and resolve issues

    Highlighting risks, trends and potential delays, supporting timely mitigation
    Recording and reporting on labour, resource efficiency and programme health

    Supporting internal and external reporting requirements

    Using Primavera P6 and other planning tools to maintain robust and accurate programme information

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    Proficiency in Primavera P6

    Degree or recognised qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline

    Experience contributing to construction programmes within civil engineering environments

    Some exposure to reinforced concrete planning

    Desirable: CIOB/MICE membership and 4D/Synchro modelling experience

    Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
