How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Cover Supervisors & Qualified Teachers – Secondary
    Location:DY13
    Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
    Contract Type: Day-to-Day, Short-Term, Long-Term & Temp-to-Perm
    Pay: Competitive (dependent on role and experience)

    I am working with a welcoming and well-established secondary school in the Stourport-on-Severn area, and I am looking for reliable Cover Supervisors and Qualified Teachers to support them on an ongoing basis.

    The school has a strong leadership team, clear behaviour policies and a supportive environment where staff are valued and students are encouraged to succeed.

    The Role

    For Cover Supervisors, you will be delivering pre-set work across KS3 and KS4, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.

    For Qualified Teachers, there are opportunities to teach your subject specialism across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5 depending on experience.

    Long-term roles will include full teaching responsibilities such as planning, marking and assessment.

    What I’m Looking For

    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
    For Teachers – QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
    Previous experience within a secondary school setting
