About the role
Heart of Supply is delighted to be advertising this SEND Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1 position within a large primary academy in Lincoln. As a SEND Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1, you will be supporting a small group of children who have a range of needs including non verbal autism, global delay and learning difficulties. This full time temporary role begins in April 2026 and runs through to May Half Term, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who benefit greatly from patient, consistent and compassionate support. What you will need:
* Experience supporting children in a school, nursery, or education-based setting
* Clear, professional communication and a proactive, reliable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff
* A minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with children in a similar setting in the UK
* A kind, confident, and calm approach, with a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
* The ability to follow a teacher’s lead while using your initiative to support individuals and small groups
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting children with additional needs would be advantageous
* A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to step into different classrooms and year groups
