Typically this person will Support yacht production and new product development through 3D design, structural calculations, and shop floor engineering support.
Key Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer:
•Support production teams with drawings and in-build modifications
•Produce 3D models and production drawings (Siemens NX)
•Assist with structural calculations and component design
•Create work instructions for manufacturing
•Design tooling to improve build accuracy and repeatability
•Review surveys and support technical reporting
•Attend project/production meetings
Requirements of the Structural Engineer:
•Degree in Marine, Structural, or related engineering
•2–5 years’ experience in marine/composite design
•Consultancy or boatyard background preferred
Skills & Knowledge
•Composite materials (polyester, vinylester, epoxy)
•CAD experience (AutoCAD, Siemens NX or similar)
•Microsoft Office proficiency
•Understanding of yacht systems (desirable)
