Search Consultancy is looking for a Skilled Concrete Finisher to join our busy civils and groundworks teams across Hartlepool. We are partnering with leading concrete specialists and major industrial contractors who require precision and durability on high-spec floors, slabs, and external hardstandings.
If you are a specialist who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and can deliver perfectly level, durable, and aesthetically sound finishes under tight pour schedules, we have immediate starts available now.

The Role

* Screeding & Leveling: Expertly striking off and leveling fresh concrete to specific falls and tolerances using manual and powered screeds.
* Power Floating: Operating walk-behind or ride-on power floats to achieve high-tolerance, "super-flat" industrial floor finishes.
* Surface Texturing: Applying various finishes including brush, tamping, and chevron textures for external roads and walkways.
* Edging & Jointing: Precision hand-tooling of edges and the installation of expansion joints to prevent cracking and ensure structural integrity.
* Curing & Sealing: Applying curing compounds and surface hardeners to ensure the long-term strength and finish of the slab.
* Productivity Driven: We need Finishers used to the physical demands and time-sensitive nature of large pours who can ensure a "right first time" result before the mix sets.

Requirements
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Specialized Concrete Occupations is highly desirable.
* CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold Skilled Worker card is mandatory.
* Tools & PPE: Full professional kit (including floats, edges, and hand tools) and standard 5-point PPE.
* Experience: Proven track record in industrial flooring, reinforced concrete (RC) frames, or large-scale external civils projects.
* Reliability: Must be able to work flexible hours to suit pour schedules and weather conditions.
* Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
