How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CareerMakers Recruitment are looking for a Flow Leader for our client based in Speke, L24 area.

    As a Flow Lead, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of your designated area during shift. You will ensure teams work strictly in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), productivity rates are consistently achieved, and operational flow is maintained end-to-end. You will act as the first point of control for performance, safety, and issue escalation, supporting the Shift Operations Manager by identifying risks early, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining operational discipline on the shop floor. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong people management, pace-setting, and decision-making capability

    Key Duties will include:

    * Oversee all activities within your assigned area to maintain uninterrupted operational flow.

    * Ensure work is executed in line with agreed plans, priorities and shift objectives. Identify bottlenecks, constraints, or disruptions and take immediate action to maintain flow.

    * Coordinate closely with adjacent areas to ensure end-to-end operational alignment.● Ensure agreed productivity rates and performance targets are achieved throughout the shift.

    * Monitor real time performance against KPIs (e.g. rates, output, downtime, adherence).

    * Take corrective action where performance drops, escalating risks or sustained issues to the Shift Operations Manager.

    * Support Short Interval Control and daily performance routines where applicable. Ensure all team members work in full compliance with SOPs, WMS processes, and operational standards.

    * Reinforce correct working methods through coaching, observation and intervention.

    * Identify procedural gaps or non-compliance and escalate improvement opportunities.

    * Ensure health & safety and food safety standards are consistently met within your area.

    * Conduct regular safety checks, toolbox talks, and on-the-floor observations.

    * Lead by example in promoting a strong safety-first culture.

    * Immediately escalate safety risks, incidents, or near misses in line with company procedures.

    * Lead, motivate and support operatives within your area.

    * Monitor attendance, timekeeping and deployment to meet operational demand.

    * Provide clear direction, priorities and feedback throughout the shift.

    * Support on the job training and development of team members.

    * Act as the first point of escalation for operational, people, systems, quality or safety issues within your area.

    * Resolve issues within your control quickly and effectively.

    * Escalate complex or high-risk issues to the Shift Operations Manager with clear facts, impact and proposed actions.

    * Ensure effective shift handovers, highlighting performance, risks and outstanding actions.

    * Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Shift Operations Manager.

    * Provide accurate updates on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

    * Ensure shift information is clearly communicated to teams and incoming supervisors.

    Skills/Experience

    * Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.

    * Strong understanding of operational flow, productivity management, and rate achievement.

    * Working knowledge of SOP driven environments and compliance-based operations.

    * Experience leading teams in a fast paced, shift based operation.

    * Confident using Warehouse Management Systems and operational reporting tools.

    * Strong communication, problem-solving, and escalation skills.

    * Hands-on leadership style with the ability to set pace and standards on the floor.

    Working hours:

    Tuesday - Saturday, 2pm - 10:30pm

    Payrate: 14.52£/ h (£15.97 after 12 week contract)
