HGV Driver

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder and reinforcement fabricator requires a full time holiday cover for our HGV Class 1 and 2 Driver working from their Head office based in Rainham, Essex.

Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Essex, RM13 9PF

Salary: £881.50 p/w + O/T (£45,838 per annum)

HGV Driver – The Role:

This roll will be yard based and only cover the HGV on either class for holiday/sickness cover, on days where cover isn’t required you will be working in the yard.

HGV Driver - Key Responsibilities:

- Being presentable, professional, reliable and honest

- Adhering to working time regulations

- Pre-use vehicle inspection checks and defect reporting

- Ensuring goods are safely secured

- Multi drop deliveries to London and the Home Counties

- Loading and unloading

- Meeting delivery schedules

- Keeping vehicles in good condition

- Basic working hours 5.30am -3.30pm

- 47.5 hour Per week + O/T Mon – Fri only

HGV Driver - The Candidate:

- Must have a valid Class 1 (category C+E) licence.

- CPC card and Digi Tachograph card

- Previous experience completing multi-drop deliveries.

- A digital tachograph card – Essential

- Full understanding of WTD legislation  

- Must have a good command of the English language.
