How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a leading firm in the oil and gas sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Sourcer with Field Engineer expertise for a contract position. This role is an exciting opportunity to work directly on-site, with no hybrid options, ensuring full immersion in projects and operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Identifying and engaging qualified candidates for various field engineering roles
    Developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future project needs
    Collaborating with hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and project goals
    Utilising various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking events
    Screening and evaluating candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit
    Coordinating and conducting initial interviews to assess candidates' qualifications
    Maintaining detailed records of candidate interactions and sourcing activities
    Providing feedback and recommendations to hiring managers and recruitment teams

    Job Requirements:

    Experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly in field engineering roles
    Strong understanding of the skills and qualifications required for field engineers
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Proficiency in using various sourcing tools and techniques
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    Strong organisational and time management skills
    Ability to work effectively on-site without hybrid options
    Relevant qualification in engineering or a related discipline is preferred
